- Filipino religions are based on animism (anitos = spirits) before going to polytheistic religions (Catholic, INC, Islam)
- human society evolve through a series of stages; SAVAGERY, BARBARISM and CIVILIZATION

- culture originates from one or more culture centers, which are results of borrowed elements of the new culture

- most of the Filipino cultures were adapted from the Western civilization

- Filipinos’ actions are influenced strongly by their religion

- conveys that cultural phenomena and practices have a relationship to one another where human organize their experiences
