FDA cleared high-level disinfection, 6-25%
What is Phenol?
EPA registered low level disinfection for environmental and non-critical medical devices.

- Critical ( enter the body, vascular system)
- Semi-critical ( mucus membrane, non-intact skin )
- Non-critical ( touch intact skin )
How to disinfecting for BP cuff, stethoscope, e-stim clips?

- Clean and disinfected area ( soap and water, EPA solutions )
- Wash hands
Blood, body fluid, OPIM spills?
- Gloves
- Clean up visible matter
- Discard materials as biohazard waste
- Clean with soap and water
- Disinfect with EPA solution
- Wash hands
( cotton ball with drop of blood - ordinary trash )
