There are two primary
factors that shape the
behavior of human groups:
Environment and History
refers to the socially constructed roles,
behaviors, activities, and attributes that given society considers appropriate for men and women.
Gender
refers to the biological characteristic
of humans such as male or female
Sexuality
A person with this gender is inclined to be sexually attracted to a person of the opposite
Heterosexual
A person that is
sexually attracted to a person of the same sex.
Homosexual
A male who is
romantically and
sexually attracted to
another male.
Gay
A female who
is romantically and
sexually attracted to
another female.
Lesbian
individuals who are
attracted to both sexes.
Bisexual
Individuals who are
incapable of being attracted to any
Asexual
Individuals who are
attracted to multiple types of gender identity
Polysexual
Individuals who can
accommodate any types of gender
Pansexual
SOGIE
Sexual Orientation, gender identity, and gender expression
refers to a person’s biological orientation, which can be a female or male and intersex
Sexual Orientation
individuals internal concept of self that may be related to a feminine, masculine
neither, or both without strict relation to the physical characteristics that a
person has.
Asexual Gender Identity
how individual
chooses present himself or herself in a
society.
