Central Vestibular Disorders are caused by
Disturbance of the central vestibular pathway
Examples of central vestibular disorders
brain stem, cerebellar tumours, brain injury/concussion, MS, migraine, brain stem or cerebellar stroke
Signs and symptoms of central vestibular disorders?
Ataxia, visual disturbances (double vision/blurred vision), dysarthria, headaches, head tilt, neurological signs
Motion Sensitivity Quotient?
Clinical test designed to measure motion-provoked dizziness during a series of 16 quick changes to head or body position
Nystagmus in BPPV

Ok, Epley Manuevre is NEGATIVE, what is another assessment you can do?
Slow VOR test and fast VOR test (peripheral occulometer tests )
What are some central vestibular tests you can do?
Occulometre tests, smooth pursuits, saccades, VOR cancellation
12 year old moderate TBI -> vertigo and nausea, problems with balance -> outcome measures?
dynamic gait index, paediatrics berg scale
