When the BWC is activated accidentally in a situation in which it should not have been activated (e.g., in a restroom or locker room), an employee shall prepare a memorandum documenting the circumstances and requesting the recording be deleted. Upon commander approval, the recording may be deleted prior to the 60-day retention period.
