When considering whether genuine fears for a person exist, what factors should you consider?

A

Z - Zone of safety: Fears arise when a person are outside of their normal surroundings.
A - Age: Fears may arise for children or elderly as soon as their absence is noted
C - Circumstances: Fears arise if the person has gone missing in Suspicious, dangerous or unusual circumstances.

(1) Voluntary - runaways & spousal desertion.
(2) Involuntary - Abducted or custody disputes
(3) Lost - lost at sea & lost in the bush
(4) Missing overseas - Reported in NZ
- Reported outside NZ
