Misc Tx from CAM Gyn Flashcards
Rectal prolapse
GV20 (moxa to invigorate yang qi), BL25 (tonify LI qi), GV1 (local for GV), ST36 (tonify).
Early menses d/t Heat in Blood
LI11 + SP10 (remove Heat from Blood), CV3 (regulate Chong and Ren, remove LB heat); KD5 (KD Xi Cleft, strengthens yin, reduces Heat, regulates menses) + LV2 (for LIV Heat/stagnation) + KD2 (nourish yin, reduce heat, regulate menses)
Early menses d/t Qi deficiency
CV6 (regulate Qi of body; Qi commands Blood); SP6, CV12, ST36 (build SP Qi, control blood).
Late menses d/t Blood Xu, Cold
Use CV and SP; reinforcing for blood xu and moxa, even with lots of moxa for cold. CV4, CV6, SP6. CV4+SP6 = more qi and blood, regulate and dispel Cold from Chong and Ren. CV6 = adjust qi and blood, regulate Chong and Ren for better menses timing. IF DIZZY: GV20 to ascend, PALPS/INSOMNIA: HT7.
Late menses d/t Qi stagnation
Reducing method to activate qi and blood flow. ST25, KD13 (promote qi and blood flow, regulate Chong and Ren), ST8 (Qi point of Blood system, adjust circulation), LIV3 (soothe, regulate LIV QI).
Hypochondriac/breast region distention?
LIV14, CV17
Fullness/pain in chest
PC4, PC6
Irregular menses d/t LIV Qi stagnation
CV and JueYin, even method. CV6, KD14, PC5, LIV5.
Irregular menses d/t KD deficiency
CV4, KD23, KD8.
Dizziness and tinnitus with KD deficiency
KD3, GV20
Dysmenorrhea d/t LIV Qi Stagnation
Reducing method, moxa if cold. CV3, BL32 (empirical for dysmenorrhea), LI4, SP10, SP8 (Xi Cleft of SP), LIV3. IF distending pain in lower abdomen - Add KD14 + St28. If pain with Cold feeling in low abd, add ST29 + ST27.
Amenorrhea d/t blood stagnation
Reducing method. CV3, St29 (local for blood stasis), SP10 + LIV3 (regulate LIV, relieve stagnation), LI4 + SP6 (get Qi and blood down to restore menses). If hard mass aggravated w/pressure add KD14.
Amenorrhea d/t blood deficiency
Reinforcing, maybe moxa. CV4, BL18, BL20, BL23, ST36, SP6.
Thick white/yellow vaginal discharge w/o smell, pale/sallow complexion, lassitude, poor appetite, lower limb edema. T: pale, sticky white t.c. P: slow weak.
BL26 (intersection of DaiMai and GB to stabilize Dai), CV6 (regulate Qi, resolve Damp, adjust Chong and stabilize Dai), BL30 (local for leukorrhea), SP9 + ST36 (tonify SP, remove Damp).
Profuse, continuous discharge of thin transparent/white discharge, low back sore, cold sensation in lower abdomen, frequent and excessive urination, loose stools. T: pale with thin coat, deep pulse.
Reinforcing, with moxa to promote yang, tonify KD, stabilize Chong and Dai. BL23, CV4, KD12 (KD and Chong meet, astringes essence d/t KD xu), BL26 (for leukorrhea), KD7 (benefits KD, drains Damp).
