Disease (diabetes)

Can cause what nerve entrapment?

A

Lateral cutaneous Nerve

25
Beneath iliopsoas tendon Inguinal ligament Femoral triangle Adductor canal Are sites of entrapment for what nerve?
Femoral Nerve
26
Anterior hip dislocation Prostate surgery are causes of entrapment for what nerve?
Obturator Nerve
27
Piriformis muscle compression can entrap what nerve?
Superior Gluteal Note: Symptoms: Waddling Gait Trendelenburg
28
These are symptoms of what nerve entrapment?: Pain occurs in the dorsum of the foot and usually radiates to the web space between the 1st and 2nd toes “Ski boot syndrome”; also in soccer players and runners with tight shoes.
Deep Fibular Nerve
29
Chronic ankle sprains may entrap what nerve?
Superficial Fibular nerve
30
What nerve is entraped by these sites? Between the SS and ST ligaments Travels over the sacrospinous ligament Traverses through the pudendal canal/Alcock canformed by the obturator fascia and sacrotuberous ligament Emerges inferior to the pubic bone to innervate the perineum and genitalia.
Pudendal nerve
31
What nerve is entrapped at these sites? Lower lateral leg at an area where a fibrous arcade Baker cyst Gastroc strains Fx of 5th metatarsal
Sural Nerve
32
Overpronation can cause what
Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome
33
Baxters Neuropathy AKA Joggers foot is also called: Caused by repetitive eversion of the foot, Compression at flexor retinaculum, or at the curves deep to the abductor hallucis
Medial Plantar Nerve Entrapment
34
Describe pronation
The medial arch lowers The normal rotating the front of the foot laterally relative to the back of the foot. It happens with walking when placing your initial weight on the foot.
35
Describe supination
The normal rotating the front of the foot medially relative to the back of the foot. This normally happens with walking when the trail leg behind your body getting ready to swing forward. The medial arch rises.
36
What joints participate in pronation and supination?
Talocrural joint Subtalar joint Transtarsal joints (talocalcaneonavicular and calcaneocuboid joints) Tarsometatarsal
37
Which branch of the sciatic nerve goes through the piriformis in 12% of the population
Common fibular division
