- illegal immigration is common from mexico, USA have to house people whilst processing them, leads to overpopulation. - strain on healthcare if brung over diseases
- immagrent populations are concentrated = water strain
- 80% of immagrentts live in border states = increasing drug trade, banned subastances into usa.

- Laos is female dominated 60% trying to find work in bars and the garment sector

- political stability = war 200 years ago - now both apart of ASEAN and Asian investment bank
- increasing border patrol mean less people have to be protected and intergrated back into life. educate people so that they can travel legally and send remittances

- Skilled workers leaving to carpentry and mechanic jobs in Thailand, cuz of droughts in Laos, less agriculture work . Laos is 5th worst country for brain drain
- 90% of trafficking from Laos is to Thailand - bad as Laos has to spend more money on prevention, protection and prosecution
- many females leaving for higher wages, however laos majorly relys on the garment sector
