Intracultural Communication
refers to interaction with people from diverse culture.
Intercultural Communication
refers to the shared beliefs, values, norms, customs, traditions, and practices that characterize a group of people
Culture
these are composed of members of the same general culture who differ in some ethnic or sociological way from the parent culture.
Co-Culture
- occurs when individuals or groups adopt the cultural norms,
values, behaviors, and practices of the dominant culture.
Assimilation
- involves adapting or adjusting aspects of one’s own
cultural practices while also maintaining aspects of their original cultural
identity
Accommodation
occurs when individuals or groups maintain their distinct
cultural identity and practices without adopting those of the dominant
culture.
Separation
With this kind of communication technology, many businesses are able to take advantage
of opportunities in different countries or cities, improving the economic outlook on a global
level.
Increased Business Opportunities
Being able to communicate effectively and frequently with colleagues or friends across
the planet helps people understand each other‘s cultures a little better.
Fewer Cultural Barriers
is created when distance and isolation no longer matter because people are connected
by technology.
