Q

what are the stages of development of acute otitis media?

A
  1. organisms invade mucous membranes -> inflammation, oedema, exudate
  2. oedema build up closes eustachian tube, preventing aeration and drainage
  3. pressure in tympanic cavity rise = drum can perforate
