Q

Why is an electron microscope better than light microscope

A

Because you can see 3d,higher resolution, higer magnification in an electron microscope however in a light microscope, it is easer to carry ,lower resolution, lower magnification, you can see life processes and watch cell division

Q

List the steps to prepare and view the plant cell

A
  1. Take a thin layer of onion skin
2,click it and hold it in place
    3.add iodine to it
4.place a cover slip gently to prevent bubbles
  2. Place the slide on the stage
6.click it to hold it in place
7.use the lowest power to allow you to have a wider view
8.use the coarse focus knob to move the stage up
  3. Be carefully not to crush the slide
10.use the fine focus knob to make your image clearer
11.change the objective lens to the highest power to have a bigger and clearer image

Q

1000 micro meters is

A

1 mm

17
Q

When you go from mm to micro meters what do you do

A

Times by 1000

18
Q

How did you work out the magnification

A

Magnification =image divide by actual size

19
Q

How do you calculate magnification when given the scale factor

A

Measure the length of magnification and make sure the units is the same for the scale factor units and divide the length of magnification factor by the magnification
