Micah Flashcards
Micah 2:1-2 Woe to those who plot iniquity and work evil in their beds; when the morning becomes light they perform it, for their hand has the power. And they covet fields, and they rob; and houses, and they take; and they oppress a man and his house, and a man and his heritage.
Economic and political criticism.

Micah 4:1-4
And it shall be at the end of the days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be firmly established at the top of the mountains, and it shall be raised above the hills, and peoples shall stream upon it. And many nations shall go, and they shall say, “Come, let us go up to the Lord’s mount and to the house of the God of Jacob, and let Him teach us of His ways, and we will go in His paths,” for out of Zion shall the Torah come forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge between many peoples and reprove mighty nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nations shall not lift the sword against nation; neither shall they learn war anymore. And they shall dwell each man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them move, for the mouth of the Lord of Hosts has spoken.
Great vision. Almost exactly the same as Isaiah’s (3:1-4)vision of the end of days.
Hint to look for:
Micah 5:4
(Should Assyria come into our land, and should they tread upon our palaces), we will appoint over them seven shepherds (and eight princes of men).

Micah 6:8
He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord demands of you; but to do justice, to love loving-kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.
Know that this is from Micah. This is in respect to all of the sacrifices, offerings, rams, oil, first born etc. That’s not what God REALLY wants.
Micah 7:18-20
Who is a God like You, Who forgives iniquity and passes over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not maintain His anger forever, for He desires loving-kindness. He shall return and grant us compassion; He shall hide our iniquities, and You shall cast into the depths of the sea all their sins. You shall give the truth of Jacob, the loving-kindness of Abraham, which You swore to our forefathers from days of yore.
