what are the advantages and disadvantages
- 1 eye corrected for D + 1 eye corrected for near
- not recommend as full time correction, good option for people with high astigmatism
simple to fit
inexepensive
-ve reduced stereopsis +CS
more care when driving while adapting
not possible to fit monocular px or amblyopia bc need both eyes for movisionk
int vision not corrected–> early presbyopia can do int due to accomodation
if add becomes too high would not be uncomfortable
what is enhanced monvison
fit dominant eye with svd lens
fit non dom eye with MF lens - contributes to DV too
to enhance DV - SVD to dom eye + MF non dom( centre near_
to enhance NV - SVN to non dom +mf to dom eye (centre distance)
advantages and disadvantages of MF CL
+ve
good quality of vision
suitable with for px with BV problems- amp, decamp phobia, strong dominance
even possible for monocular px
good stereo/cs/binoc ba
-ve

less stable vision
difficult to fit
requires more chair time
adaption required- risk of intolerance
come in limited range
