What is continuous training?

A

Low intensity exercise for long periods of time without rest intervals such as jogging. Develops cardiovascular and respiratory system to improve aerobic endurance.

What is fartlek training?

A

When the pace of the run is varied to stress both the aerobic and anaerobic system =. This improves their stamina and their speed of their recovery.

A

A form of training where intervals of high-intensity and followed with recovery. Use to improve anaerobic power and can be adapted

A

Series of exercises at stations. Can vary the reps, set and time spent. Can be designed for any aspect of fitness.

What is proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF)

A

Passive stretching held by an external force (partner or wall). Effective for flexibility and increased range of motion. Muscle is isometrically contracted, relaxed then stretched again.
