Give the definition of haydh
Blood that flows from the womb and exits from the vagina even if it is legal blood without birth.
What is legal blood?
Days which are considered menstruation even ifthere is no physical bleeding on that day.
Even if a day of purity falls within the days of menstruation (3 - 10 days), it is considered menstruation legally.
Give the definition of nifas
Nifas= post natal bleeding
Blood that flows from the womb and exits from the vagina even if it is legal blood after most of the child is born, and she had not given birth in the
last 6 months.
Give the definition of Istihada
Chronic bleeding
Blood that is not defined as haydh or nifas.
Blood, even if it was legal blood, that exits from the vagina, but does not originate in the womb.
If a beginner bled for 13 days what is considered haydh and istihada?
Days 1-10 will be considered haydh
Days 11-13 will be considered istihada and is invalid blood
Give 2 types of blood

Give 3 types of woman for haydh
1) Yet to start a cycle of menstruation.
2)Has a known cycle of menstruation
3)Unsure of her habit time and/or length.
