what happens in stage one of the menstrual cycle

what happens in stage two of the menstrual cycle?
Day 4 to 14 uterus learning is repaired and a layer of blood vessels are formed, ready for a fertilised egg to be implanted
What happens in stage three of the menstrual cycle
(ovulation occurs) egg is developed and release from ovary
what happens stage four of the menstrual cycle?
Stage four is the 14 to 28 if the egg is not fertilised, uterus, walls breakdown, restarting the cycle
Function of FSH and what is it released by?
is released by the pituitary gland. It causes the follicle (egg) to mature in the ovary.
What does the FSH stimulate?
it stimulates production of oestrogen

what is the function of oestrogen and where is it released from?
Thickens the lining of uterus and is released from the ovaries
What does oestrogen stimulate?
Stimulates, LH
function of LH, and where is it released from?
is released from the pituitary gland stimulates ovulation on day 14 this causes the follicle to rupture, and the egg is released 
what does LH secrete 
progesterone from corpus leutum
what happens to the remaining of the follicle?
It develops a corpus luteum which secretes progesterone
function of progesterone, and what is it released by?
it is released by the corpus leteum which helps maintain the lining of the uterus 
what happens when progesterone levels fall
Uterus lining a breakdown, and low progesterone levels, allow FSH to increase, starting the whole cycle again
what is clomifene
A drug that causes an increase of FSH and LH, which stimulates egg, maturation and ovulation
how does IVF work?
collect an egg fertilise it in the lab with sperm when it grows into an embryo transfer it back into uterus
