What are the three meninges and what do they contain?
A
Dura mater-Contains blood vessels and nerves
arachnoid mater-Contains CSF no blood vessels
pia mater- Nerves and blood vessels nourish underlying cells of CNS

What does the cerebral fluid do?
A
fills the space between the arachnoid mater and pia mater

What does the cervical enlargement do?
A
Rise to nerves to the upper limbs

What does the lumbar enlargement do?
A
Rise to nerves in lower limbs

What is the cauda equina formed from and what does it become?
A
Formed from motor and sensory neurons extending downward to become spinal nerves at the remaining lumbar and sacral levels
