ABORTED ENGINE START QRH- 7.1
- FUEL CONTROL switch (affected side)…………………CUTOFF
CABIN ALTITUDE or Rapid Depressurization QRH- 2.1
- Don the oxygen masks
- Establish crew communications
- Check the cabin altitude and rate
- If the cabin altitude is uncontrollable
- If PAX:
- PASS OXY switch - Push and hold for 1 second
- Emergency descent - Initiate
- Thrust levers (both) - Idle
- Speedbrake - UP
- If PAX:
- If structural damage is not suspected:
- Target speed - VMO/MMO
- If strutural damage is suspected:
- Target speed - At or less than current IAS
- Limit airspeed and avoid high manouvering loads
- If JA605F:
- SPeedbrakes may autostow to 50% at 320kts. Do not override until speed less than 315kts
- Transponder - 7700
- Descend to the lowest safe altitude or 10,000ft whichever is higher
Dual Engine Failure QRH 7.3
- ENG START selectors (both)………………………………………….FLT
- Thrust levers (both)…………………………………………………………Idle
- FUEL CONTROL switches (both)………….CUTOFF then RUN
- IF engine appears stalled OR EGT approaches the maximum EGT limit (960’c) of the Standby Engine Indicator:
- Repeat above step as needed
Engine Limit or Surge or Stall QRH 7.7
- A/T ARM switch - OFF
- Until engine indications stay within limits or the thrust lever is at idle
- Thrust lever (affected side) - Confirm - Retard
ENGINE FIRE or Engine Severe Damage or Separation QRH 8.2
- A/T ARM switch - OFF
- Thrust lever (affected side) - Confirm - Idle
- Fuel control switch (affected side) - Confirm - CUTOFF
- Engine fire switch (affected side) - Confirm - Pull
- If the engine fire warning light is illuminated:
- Engine fire switch (affected side) - Rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second
- If after 30 seconds the engine fire warning light stays illuminated:
- Engine fire switch (affected side) - Rotate to the other stop and hold for 1 second
UNSCHD STAB TRIM QRH 9.1
STAB TRIM CUT OUT switches (both) - CUT OUT
Airspeed Unreliable QRH 10.1
- Check the pitch attitude and thrust
- If pitch attitude or thrust is not normal for phase of flight:
- Autopilot disengage SW - Push to disengage
- Autothrottle disconnect SW - Push to disconnect
- F/D switches (both) - OFF
- Establish normal pitch attitude and thrust setting for phase of flight
AUTOMATIC UNLOCK QRH 1.1
- FLT DK DOOR lock selector - Rotate to DENY and hold for 1 second

Rejected Take-Off
- THRUST LEVERS- CLOSE (Disconnect A/T if BLW 80kts)
- VERIFY OPERATION OF AUTOBRAKES OR APPLY MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE BRAKING
- MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE REVERSE THRUST
- (If speed brake lever did not move UP automatically) SPEEDBRAKE LEVER UP
- Continue maximum braking till A/C is decelerated sufficiently
- When flight is not continued perform after LDG procedures
- When flight is continued see T/O weight limit by brake temp as described in chapter 2
GPWS Warning (‘PULL UP’, ‘TERRAIN TERRAIN PULL UP’ or ‘OBSTACLE OBSTACLE PULL UP’)
- Disengage A/P
- Disconnect A/T
- Aggressively apply maximum thrust
- Simultaneously roll wings level and rotate to an initial pitch atttude of 20’
- Set the SPEEDBRAKE lever to DOWN
- If terrain remains a threat, continue rotation up to pitch limit indicator, stick shaker or initial buffet
- Do not change flap or gear configuration until terrain separation is assured
- Monitor RADALT for sustained or increasing terrain separation
- When clear of terrain, slowly decrease pitch attitude and accelerate
- FLIGHT AT STICK SHAKER MAY BE REQ’D
- DO NOT USE F/D COMMANDS
Windshear Escape Maneuver MANUAL FLIGHT
- Disengage A/P
- Push G/A switch
- Aggressively apply MAX thrust
- Disconnect A/T
- Simultaneously ROLL wings LVL and rotate toward an initial pitch ATT of 15’
- Speedbrake lever DOWN
- Follow FD guidance (If avail)
- Do not change GEAR & FLAP config until WS no longer a factor
- Monitor VS and ALT
- Do not attempt to regain lost A/S until WS no longer a factor
Windshear Escape Maneuver AUTOMATIC FLIGHT
- Push either G/A switch
- Verify GA mode annunciation
- Verify thrust levers advance to GA power
- Speedbrake Lever DOWN
- Monitor system performance
- Do not change GEAR & FLAP config until WS no longer a factor
- Monitor VS and ALT
- Do not attempt to regain lost A/S until WS no longer a factor
- IF GA MODE UNAVAIL FLY MANUALLY!
ENG Failure in Final APP?
- Advance operating ENG to GA position
- Retract to Flaps 20
- Maintain VREF 30+10kts (Equivalent to VREF Flap 20)
- DECIDE GA or CONTINUE
- GA - Maintain VREF 30+10kts & execute GA proc (Flap5, “positive” gear up)
- CONTINUE - Maintain SPD conduct OEI LDG.
RA
- If manoeuvring is Req’d
- A/P- DISENGAGE
- A/T- DISCONNECT
- Smoothly adjust pitch & thrust to satisfy RA command
- If stick shaker occurs, accomplish stall recovery procedure-
- f high speed buffet occurs, relax pitch force to reduce buffet but continue the manoeuvre
- Do not use F/D commands until clear of conflict
CLB RA in LDG CONFIG
- A/P - DISENGAGE
- A/T- DISCONNECT
- Thrust levers FULL FORWARD
- Call “Flaps 20”
- Smoothly adjust pitch to satisfy the RA command
- “POSITIVE” “GEAR UP”
Nose HIGH Recovery
- Recognize & Confirm situtation
- DISENGAGE A/P & DISCONNECT A/T
- Apply as much FULL DOWN ELEVATOR
- Apply appropriate nose down TRIM
- REDUCE Thrust
- ROLL to obtain nose down pitch rate
- Complete recovery
- When approaching HORIZON, roll wings LVL
- Check A/S & adjust Thrust
- Establish pitch ATT
Nose LOW Recovery
- Recognize & Confirm
- DISENGAGE A/P & DISCONNECT A/T
- RECOVER from Stall (if req’d)
- ROLL in shortest direction to wings LVL
- RECOVER to LVL flight-
- Apply nose up elevator
- Apply nose up trim if required
- Adjust thrust and drag as req’d
What is an UPSET defined as?
- >25’ Nose UP
- >10’ Nose DOWN
- AOB> 45’
- A/S inappropriate for conditions
Approach to Stall or Stall Recovery
- Initiate the Recovery
- Hold control column firmly
- Disengage A/P disconnect A/T
- Smoothly apply NOSE DOWN elevator to reduce AOA until buffet or stick shaker stops (Trim may be req’d)
- Continue the Recovery
- ROLL in shortest direction to wings LVL
- ADVANCE thrust
- SPEEDBRAKE DOWN
- Do not change Gear & Flap except during liftoff if Flaps are UP call for Flaps 1
- Complete the Recovery
- Check A/S and adjust thrust as req’d
- Establish pitch ATT
- Return to desired flight path
- Re-engage A/P & A/T if desired
Aborted Engine Start
- No EGT increase by 25 sec after fuel cont switch is moved to run
- No N1 rotation by 30 seconds after N2 is stabalized at idle
- EGT quickly or near exceeds the start limit
- Oil pressure indication is not normal by time the engine is stabalized at idle
What are the two indications A/C is in WIndshear?
- 1) “WINDSHEAR, WINDSHEAR, WINDSHEAR”
- Immediate alert
- Excessive Windshear at A/P current position
- Enabled BLW 1,500ft RAD ALT
- Detection begins at rotation
- 2) Unacceptable flight path deviations
What are Unacceptable flight path deviations?
- Uncontrolled changes from normal steady state flight conditions BLW 1,000ft AGL in excess of:
- 15 KIAS
- VS 500fpm
- 5’ pitch ATT
- 1 dot displacement from GS
- Unusual thrust lever position for a significant amount of time
Steep turn method?
- Cabin sign ON
- VOR mode (PF)
- A/S=250kts
- DES & APP Check
- PWR- 66% (280t-61%)
- ATT- 2- 2.5’ ROLLING INTO TURN (Use fast slow pointer if 250kts bugged)
- ADD PWR- 3% (280t-64%)
- ATT- 2.5- 3’ ROLLING OUT OF TURN
- 15’ to go start rollout
- PWR- 66% (280t-61%)
- ATT- 2- 2.5’
“GO AROUND WINDSHEAR AHEAD”
- Enabled during APP BLW 1,200ft AGL
- Windshear within 1.5 nm & DIRECTLY ahead of plane
- If WX not selected on HSI, PWS symbology will auto pop up
- Shows position & size only when HSI in VOR,APP,MAP,CTR MAP mode
- Perform Windshear escape maneuver
“WINDSHEAR AHEAD, WINDSHEAR AHEAD”
- Enabled during T/O BLW 1,200ft
- Windshear within 3nm & DIRECTLY ahead of plane
- If WX not selected on HSI, PWS symbology will auto pop upshows position & size only when HSI in VOR,APP,MAP,CTR MAP mode
- Prior to V1 - REJECT
- After V1 - Rotate at normal rate to 15’ after airborne perform Windshear escape maneuver
- IF WINDSHEAR ENCOUNTERED AND A/S DECREASES AND NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO STOP
- Initiate normal rotation at least 2,000ft before end of RWY even if A/s low
- Higher than normal pitch ATT may be req’d
- Ensure MAX thrust set
