- Affected engine start lever … CUTOFF
Airspeed Unreliable
- Autopilot … DISENGAGE
- Autothrottle … DISENGAGE
- F/D Switches … OFF
- Set the following gear up pitch attitude and thrust:
- Flaps Extended: 10° and 80% N1
- Flaps Up: 4° and 75% N1
APU Fire
- APU fire switch … CONFIRM … PULL, rotate to the stop, and hold for 1 second
- APU switch … OFF
Automatic Unlock
- FLT DK DOOR selector … Rotate to DENY and hold for 1 second
Cabin Altitude Warning or Rapid Depressurisation
- Don and set 100%
- Establish crew communications
- Pressurisation Mode Selector … MAN
- Outflow VALVE switch … CLOSE until indication shows fully closed
- Cabin altitude uncontrollable:
- Passenger Signs … ON
- PASS OXYGEN switch … ON
> Go to EMERGENCY DESCENT CHECKLIST

Emergency Descent
- Announce Emergency Descent
- PF: Emergency Descent PA
- PM: Advise ATC and obtain QNH - Passenger Signs … ON
- Without delay, descend to the higher of LSALT or 10,000ft
- Engine Start switches … CONT
- Thrust Levers … Reduce thrust to minimum or as needed for anti-ice
- Speed Brake … FLIGHT DETENT
- Speed Mmo/Vmo (If structural integrity is in doubt, limit speed)
Engine Fire or Engine Severe Damage or Separation
- Autothrottle … DISCONNECT
- Thrust Lever … CONFIRM … CLOSE
- Engine Start Lever … CONFIRM … CUTOFF
- Engine Fire Switch … CONFIRM … PULL
- If the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light is illuminated:
- Engine Fire Switch … Rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second
Engine Limit or Surge or Stall
- Autothrottle … DISENGAGE
- Affected Engine Thrust Lever … CONFIRM … Retard until engine indications stay within limits or the thrust lever is closed.
Landing Configuration
- Assure correct airplane landing configuration
Loss of Thrust on Both Engines
- Engine Start switches … FLT
- Engine Start levers … CUTOFF
- When EGT decreases:
- Engine Start Levers … IDLE - If EGT redlines or no increase in EGT within 30 seconds:
- Affected Engine Start lever … CONFIRM … CUTOFF, then IDLE
If EGT redlines again or no EGT increase within 30 seconds, repeat
Runaway Stabiliser
- Control Column … HOLD FIRMLY
- Autopilot … DISENGAGE
- Autothrottle … DISENGAGE
- Control column and thrust levers … Control airplane pitch attitude and airspeed
- Main Electric Stabiliser Trim … Reduce control column forces
- If the runaway stops after the autopilot is disengaged:
- Do not re-engage the autopilot or autothrottle. - If the runaway continues after the autopilot is disengaged:
- STAB TRIM CUTOUT switches … CUTOUT
If the runaway continues:
- Stabiliser trim wheel … Grasp and hold
Takeoff Configuration
- Assure correct airplane takeoff configuration
Intermittent Warning Horn or Warning Light - Cabin Altitude or Takeoff Configuration
- If the intermittent warning horn sounds or a CABIN ALTITUDE light illuminates in flight at an airplane flight altitude above 10,000ft MSL:
- Don and set 100%
- Establish crew communications - If the intermittent warning horn sounds or a TAKEOFF CONFIG light illuminates on the ground when advancing the thrust levers to takeoff thrust:
- Assure correct airplane takeoff configuration
Engine Overheat
- Autothrottle … DISENGAGE
- Affected engine thrust lever … CONFIRM … CLOSE
- If the ENG OVERHEAT light stays illuminated:
> Go to the ENGINE FIRE or Engine Severe Damage or Separation Checklist
PA - Alert Order
When should it only be used?
“Attention! All passengers remain seated and await further instructions.”
On the ground, and the aircraft stopped.

Or flashing of the seatbelts sign.
PA - Ditching Order
“Attention! This is a ditching. Follow your crew members instructions.”

PA - Seat Belts
“All passengers and crew be seated and fasten seat belts.”
PA - Turbulence
“All passengers and crew be seated and fasten seat belts immediately.”
PA - Emergency Descent Order

Basic Impact Drill (Land Evacuation)
- Complete Checklist
- Take torch, NOTOC and Loadsheet
- Proceed to cabin and relay EVACUATION command
- Evacuate first available exit
- Report to Emergency Services if available
Basic Impact Drill (Ditching)
- Complete checklist
- Fit Lifejacket and take torch
- Proceed to cabin or as directed by Captain
- When all assistance rendered, evacuate
Windshear Escape Manoeuvre (PF - Manual Flight)
- Disconnect Autopilot
- Push TO/GA switch
- Advance to maximum thrust
- Disconnect Autothrottle
- Roll wings level and pitch to 15° nose up
- Retract speed brakes
