What is the function of vernier callipers ?
To measure the diameter of a circular object eg.coin
What is he function of a trundle wheel ?
To measure a long curved line eg. Football pitch
What is the function of a opisomiter ?
Used to measure the length of a curved line for a short distance eg. Road on a map
What does accuracy mean?
Accuracy means how close a measured value is to its actual value.
What could lead to errors in a measurement result ?
Parallax error , zero error
What is parallax error ?
Reading the measurement form the incorrect angel
What is a zero error ?
When you don’t your measurement stat at zero on a measurement instrument

Trace the outline of the shape onto grid paper , then count the total box (each box is 1cm2), boxes less than half filled are not counted , over half is counted as 1cm2. Boxes half filled count as 0.5cm2
