what are the nutritional tools to modify recipes? (4)

  1. My healthy plate. Designed by Health Promotion Board to guide Singaporeans in creating balanced diets.
  2. Fill half with fruits and vegetables, fill one quarter with with whole grains and another quarter with meat and others. Use healthier oils, choose water, be active, go light on salt, limit intake of sugar and focus on calcium.
  3. Refer to the Recommended Dietary Allowances to create a balance meal.
  4. Refer to the Food Composition Table to evaluate whether a person had consumed the required daily amounts of nutrients.
