A box is displayed next to the CAS message. Click on it to reveal the checklist.
What symbol is displayed to indicate that an EICAS checklist has been completed?
A check mark will be drawn in the box next to the CAS message.
List the four EICAS priority levels?
– WARNING (red)
– CAUTION (amber)
– ADVISORY (cyan)
– STATUS (white)
How should all warning and caution CAS messages be acknowledged by the pilots?
By pressing the illuminated master WARN or CAUT button.
Can CAS messages be cancelled so long as the activation condition still exists?
No.
Give the standard definition for OFF that is used for all systems?
The system is turned-off. System is still available.
Give the standard definition for FAIL that is used for all systems?
Total loss of system functionality. System is unavailable.
Give the standard definition for FAULT that is used for all systems?
System performance is degraded, but the system is still available.
What is an EICAS message that generates more than one CAS message?
GOLDEN CAS message.
How is a GOLDEN CAS message indicated?
“>” greater than symbol.
Are some CAS messages inhibited on takeoff or approach and landing to prevent them from becoming a nuisance?
Yes.
Where are time critical warnings annunciated?
On PFD 1 and PFD 2.
Which button allows the aural alerts on the respective side to be inhibited?
The AURAL MUTE button.
