Whay is a sea cliff

A

▪︎ a scarp face of the coast facing the sea is known as a sea cliff.
▪︎ in the beginning the sea waves cut a groove in the rock at sea level which is known as notch.
▪︎ this notch keeps widening with the time and then it undermines the overhanging rocks until it falls into cliff and forms a cliff

A

When the sea waves from opposite directions are able to cut through the sea caves

How is a stack formed

A

When the roof of a marine arch collapses a portion of the arch keeps standing in the sea like a pillar. This is known as a stack

How is a inlet formed

A

Due to the erosion of soft rocks long and narrow inlets are formed which are known as creeks. With the passage of time these creeks are widened and deepened to become bays

A

When the soft rocks surrounding the hard rock along the sea coast is eroded, the hard rock stands out in the sea much ahead of its surrounding.
