How are deflation hollows formed
A
Many depressions are formed by deflation action of wind. These are called deflation hollows

What is a pedestal rock
A
The max erosion of a upstanding rock happens slightly above its ground level.
The intensity of cutting into the rock decreases both upwards and downwards from this level of maximum erosion by wind. Due to greater erosion of the lower portion the rock assumes the form of a mushroom

A
A series of sharp, irregular rock crests seperated from one another by deep grooves is known as yardang.

Accumulation of gravely over thousands of years form desert pavements which protect rocks below from wind erosion
