Recommend cervical cytology screening for woman 21-29 yrs every 3 yrs, No screening before 21.
Recommend screening for women 30-65 every 5 yrs w/ cytology and HPV co-testing preferred.
Recommend screening women who have had cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) 2 (mod dysplasia), CIN 3 (severe dysplasia), and adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS) for at least 20 years after treatment.
Recommend women who have had a hysterectomy which removed their cervix and no history of CIN 2, CIN3, or AIS discontinue screening.
Recommend annual clinical breast exam for women 21-39 yrs of age.
DIVING DUTY: MRI scanning after central nervous system (CNS) decompression sickness (DCS) and acute gas embolism (AGE) is now required.
DIVING DUTY: Laser corneal refractive surgery is no longer disqualifying when there is a successful outcome.
A General Medical Officer may independently perform
examinations if he or she has successfully completed
an accredited internship.
Facilities conducting physical examinations will keep a copy of the examination and any supporting documents on file for 2 years.
SPECIAL STUDIES: Enlisted service applicants do not need a Pap smear result recorded before reporting to their
respective recruit training commands.
