Maneuvers Flashcards
Approach to stall or stall Recovery
Hold controls
Dissengage a/p and a/t
Reduce aoa until
Roll level in shortest direction
Add power as needed and retract speedbrakes
After speed crosses VREF start cleaning up and pitching up.
config except during liftoff with flaps up, call for flaps 1
Rejected takeoff
Thrust levers idle
Apply max braking or verify RTO
Extend speedbrakes
Appy max reverse on symmetric engines
GPWS Warning
Disengage a/p and a/t
Agressively apply max thrust
Simultaneously wings level and initial pitch 20 degrees.
Retract speedbrakes
*if terrain remains a threat pitch to pitch limit indicator.
Do not change gear or flap unt terrain no longer a threat.
TCAS RA
Disengage a/p and a/t
Adjust pitch to comply with RA
For Climb RA in landing config: Disengage a/p and a/t max thrust Call for flaps 20 Adjust pitch to satisfy RA Positive rate, gear up
Nose high upset recovery
Disengage a/p and a/t Apply nose down to obtain nose down pitch rate Apply trim if required Reduce thrust *adjust bank to obtain nose down pitch rate When approaching horizon roll level Check airspeed and thrust Establish pitch attitude
Nose low upset recovery
Disengage a/p and a/t Recover from stall if required Roll wings level ( shortest distance ) *if bank more than 90, unload and roll apply nose up apply trim Adjust thrust and drag if needed
Windshear escape recovery
Manual: Disengage a/p Push TO/GA Aplly max thrust aggresively Disconnect a/t Simultaneously wings level and initially pitch to 15. Retract speedbrakes Follow FD
Auto: Press TO/GA Verify TO/GA annunciation Verify GA thrust Retract speedbrakes Monitor performance
- Manual/auto - do not change gear or flaps until windshear no longer a factor.
