Macduff discovers that King Duncan has been murdered and Macbeth says he killed the attendants.
What does Lady Macbeth do when Macbeth says he killed the guards?
She faints, drawing attention away from him and preventing questioning as he shouldn’t have know Duncan was dead when he killed them.
What does ‘there’s daggers in men’s smiles’ show?
It shows how Donalbain is beginning to not trust Macbeth. It also shows the theme of appearance vs reality and how Macbeth can hide his thoughts.
What three characters are in Act 2 Scene 4 and what do they discuss?
Ross, old man and Macduff. They talk about the unnatural events following Duncan’s murder.
Where has Macbeth fled and where has Macduff gone?
Macbeth has gone to Scone to be crowned and Macduff has gone to Fife.
