What is the unit for electrical power?
Watts
What is the definition for power?
Power is the rate at which work is performed and is a measure of how much work can be done in a given amount of time
How do you work out power?
P=VxI
What is direct measurement when it comes to power?
It automatically multiples everything to give you the power in Watts
What is indirect measurement when it comes to power?
You manually have to work out the power with the two measurements it gives you
What does short circuit mean?
It is when a connection that bypasses parts or the complete circuit
What are the possible causes of short circuiting?
- humidity
- wrong connection
- defective components
What does open circuit mean?
This is complete break in an electrical circuit
What are the possible causes of an open circuit?
- loose connection
- broken wire
- defective fuse
- defective components
