For loading the main deck

The aft left side of the fuselage

The escape slide or survival kit
What does the doors centre lining cover?
The door structure and lath mechanism
What does the door upper lining cover?
Also door structure and latch mechanism however it also holds the escape lamp
What gas is used in the doors?
Nitrogen
At what angle does the slide inflate after being activated by the door?
Approximately 60°
What is a over wing escape hatch know as?
Plug doors
Why must a over wing escape hatch be pulled inwards?
Because its bigger than the aperture it fills
What position should the flight deck door be in when in flight?
Always locked unless someone needs entry
What is located in the lower half of the flight deck door?
Decompression and evacuation flap
