- B sx’s- fever, drenching night sweats, weight loss >10%

- bone marrow involvement- paratrabecular monoclonal lymphoid aggregates
- dx- tissue biopsy of LN!!

- localized irradiation- in pts with limited dz and 1 or 2 contiguous LNs

- rituximab

- localized dz- short-course immunochemotherapy (R-CHOP) and localized radiation
- advanced dz- 6 cycles of immunochemotherapy (R-CHOP)

A
- primary lymphoma- 95% are of non-hodgkin B cell lymphomas- arise from MALT
- H pylori- risk factor

- painless lymphadenopathy
- constitutional sx’s may or may not be present
- pathologic dx by LN biopsy

- bimodal age (20s and 50s)
- painless mass in neck
- constitutional sx’s

HL- Ann Arbor staging
A
- 1- 1 LN region
- 2- 2 or more LN regions on 1 side of diaphragm
- 3- LN regions on both sides of diaphragm
- 4- disseminated dz with extranodal involvement
- A- lack constitutional sx’s
- B- weight loss, fever, or drenching night sweats
