Reid-Sternburg cells - bilobed nucleus and prominent eosinophilic inclusion
elevated lactate
Management:
Chemo
Radio
Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
occurs in older patients
RF:
HIV
EBV
types:
Burkitt - HIV, malaria, African descent
MALT lymphoma - previous H.pylori
Diffuse large B cell lymphoma
investigations:
lymph node biopsy
HIV test
elevated lactate
management:
watch and wait
chemo
ritixumab

what type of transfusion is given in Hodgkins if needed and why is that given
