  • Abundant lymphatics in head and neck
  • Distributed along vascular supply, drain posteriorly and
    inferiorly
  • Collect in large deep nodes along the internal jugular vein (IJV)
  • Drain into thoracic duct/R lymphatic duct at the venous angle
