Left lung
divided into cranial and caudal lobes; cranial lobe further divided into cranial and caudal parts
Right lung
4 lobes: cranial, caudal, middle, accessory
Cardiac notch
right lung, 4th/5th intercostal spaces; apex of notch is continuous with fissures between cranial and middle lobes
R&L primary (principal) bronchi
first singular opening; further divides into lobar bronchi; R terminates in accessory lobe
Carina
partition between them at their origin from the trachea
Lobar bronchi
supply lobes of the lungs (2 on L, 4 on right); further divide into tertiary bronchi
Impressions on lungs
Aortic (ventral aspect of left caudal lobe); Azygos (ventral aspect of right middle (?) lobe); Costal (dorsal aspect of lungs)
