Q

Positive sign for straight leg Test

A

Pain felt at the opposite side- stace occupying lesion or disc herniation. (Leg Well Test)
Pain at 70degrees hip flexion- lumbar or SI joint dysfunction
Pain when lowered 20degrees that does not increase with neck flexion- hamstrings tightness
Pain with forced dorsiflexion- sciatic nerve involvement

16
Q

Positive sign for One Leg Lumbar extension

A

Pain is felt. Possible fractures of pars articularis. Stress fracture is on one side standing ipsilateral side is more pain. Spondylosis or spondylolisthesis may also be present.

17
Q

How to assess scoliosis Test

A

Therapist behind client. Instruct client to perform AROM of the spine in flexion and lateral bending on both side. Observe the spinous processes for any visible curves

18
Q

Rib motion Test

A

Assess for motion of the ribs.
Place hands symmetrically over various aspect of the thorax from superior to inferior. Client inhale and exhales rib notefor imbalances

19
Q

Rib Palpation

A

Assess for position of individual ribs
Palpate angles bilaterally with flat hands
