Iliopsoas: Resisting the muscle?
Stand beside the patient. Place one hand on their thigh and ask them to raise their knee towards their chest against your resistance. Apply gentle pressure to resist the flexion movement.

Rectus Femoris: Functional Movement?
Flexion of the hip and extension of the knee
Rectus Femoris: Resisting the muscle?
Stand beside the patient. Place one hand on their knee and ask them to straighten their knee against your resistance.
Or one hand on patella whilst sitting and get them to resist hip flexion
