Tibalis Anterior
O- Lateral condyle of the tibia, interosseous membrane
I- Medial cuneiform, base of the 1st metatarsal
A- Dorsiflexon, inversion of the ankle
N- Deep Fibular Nerve
Proneus Longus (fibularis longus)
O- Head of the fibula, proximal 1/3 of the fibula
I- Medial cuneiform, base of the first metatarsal (plantar surface of both)
A- Plantarflexion, eversion of the ankle
N- Superficial Fibular Nerve
Proneus Brevis (fibularis brevis)
O- Distal 2/3 of the fibula
I- Base of the 5th metatarsal
A- Plantarflexion, weak eversion of the ankle
N- Superficial Fibular Nerve
Gastrocnemius
O- Medial Head: Medial femoral condyle Lateral Head: Lateral femoral condyle I- Calcaneus (via the Achilles tendon) A- Flexion of the knee, plantarflexion of the ankle N- Tibial Nerve
Soleus
O- Soleal Line, posterior aspect of the fibula, tibia and interosseus membrane
I- Calcaneus (via the Achilles tendon)
A- Plantarflexion of the ankle
N- Tibial Nerve
Popliteus
O- Posterior proximal aspect of tibia
I- Lateral femoral condyle of the femur, lateral meniscus
A- Internal rotation of tibia on the femur, unlocking the knee from an extended position
N- Tibial Nerve
Abductor Digiti Minimi
O- Lateral portion of calcaneus
I- Base of proximal phalanx of 5th digit
A- Abduction of the 5th digit
N- Lateral Plantar Nerve
Abductor Hallucis
O- Medial calcaneal tubercle
I- Base of the proximal phalanx of the 1st digit
A- Abduction of the great toe
N- Medial Plantar Nerve
