A- Flexion, abduction and external rotation (FABER position) of the hip

O- Body of pubis (below crest)
I- Middle 1/3 of linea aspera
A- Adduction of the hip, weak hip flexor
N- Obturator Nerve
Gluteus Maximus
O- Posterior Superior Iliac Spine (PSIS), iliac crest, lumbar dorsal fascia, sacrum and sacrotuberous ligament
I- Gluteal Tuberosity of the Femur and Iliotibial band
A- Abduction, extension of external rotation of the hip
N- Inferior Gluteal Nerve
Gluteus Medius
O- Between the anterior and posterior gluteal lines of the ilium
I- Superior lateral surface of greater trochanter
A- Abduction, internal rotation of the hip (anterior fibers), external rotation of the hip (posterior fibers)
N- Superior Gluteal Nerve
Gluteus Minimis
O- Between anterior and inferior gluteal lines of the ilium
I- Anterior tubercle of the greater trochanter
A- Abducts the hip, internally rotates the hip
N- Inferior Gluteal Nerve

O- Anterior surface of the sacrum
I- Greater trochanter
A- External rotator of the hip (hip flexion less than 60 degrees), internal rotation and horizontal abduction of the hip (hip flexion greater than 60 degrees)

A- Flexion of the hip, extension of the knee
