Fail passive means

- above AH an automativ app will be discontnued after a failure of the ground or airborne equip
- below AH GA only for AUTOLAND light (ATC)
Autoland light flashed red below 200ft in case of
AP lost
Excessive LOC / GS DEV
LOC signal above 15ft or glide slope lost above 100ft
RA difference 15ft

400m CM1 PF min 125 RVR
Approach ban
Until 1000ft RVR must be above limits

What happens at 700ft RA

LAND must appear - it ensures that approach guidance will be correct

is frozen - any action of the FCU is disregarded by the FMGC
LAND mode can only be disengagegd by
GO AROUND - TL to TOGA
Once AC is on GRD if TL are set to TOGA …
this engages SRS / GA TRK modes and sets AP to OFF
