Q

Actions of Loratadine?

A

Loratadine is a long acting second generation antihistamine, shown to be a competitive, specific and selective antagonist of H1 histamine receptors.
The pharmacology of Loratadine is similar to other antihistamines, but does not penetrate the CNS effectively having a low affinity for CNS H1-receptors, meaning it is unlikely to cause drowsiness
