Mechanism of Action
A
Selectively blocks B1 receptors with minimal effects of B2 receptors at lower doses, causing decrease in HR, SBP, and CO

Indications
A
- A-Fib or A-Flutter with rapid ventricular response
- Stable, narrow-complex tachycardias uncontrolled by adenosine and vagal maneuvers
- Some forms of polymorphic VT

Contraindications
A
-Bradycardia
-Hypotension
-CHF
-AV blocks
-Shock
-Asthma or RAD
-Pts given IV CCBs
Relative: Pts taking HTN meds

- Bradycardia
- Hypotension
- CHF
- Wheezing
- SOB
- Lethargy
- Weakness

5mg, may repeat every 2 minutes up to 15mg
