Mechanism of Action
A
Absorbs ingested toxic agents, decreases absorption in the body and allowing for excretion via the GI tract. May contain cathartic agent to aid in elimination by increased bowel motility

Decreasing toxicity in certain oral ingestions

Contraindications
A
Inability to protect airway; Hydrocarbons, corrosives, or caustics ingestions
