• 50% should come from SC,ST,OBC,Minorities,Women

By a committee->PM+L.S. Speaker+L.S.Leader of opposition+CJI/Sitting SC Judge nominated by CJI+Jurist nominated by president.

Search Committee:

• Assists selection committee in process of selection.
• 50% members of search committee shall also be fromSC,ST,OBC,Minorities,Women

How CVC & Lokpal work together?

-Lokpal reffers complaints to CVC->CVC sends primary report to lokpal for further decision in case of Class A & B officers;in case of Class C& D officers CVC decides on it’s own,which is subject to reporting & review by lokpal.

1. Jurisdiction ->PM,Ministers,MPs,Group A,B,C,D officials of central government
2. PM is brought under purview of lokpal with subject matter exclusions & specific process for handling complaints against PM.
3. Has superintendence & direction power over any investigating agency,including CBI,for cases reffered to them by lokpal.
4. fully or partly government fiananced institutions (Government aided institutions are excluded)
5. Has power to sanction for prosecution of public sevant in place of government.

• Transfer of officers of CBI investigating cases referred by lokpal with approval of Lokpal
