Describe the left and right main bronchi

A

Each main bronchus is about 5cm long. The right is slightly shorter, and more vertical than the left.

Where is the carina found? What is the clinical significance of this?

A

To the left of the midline. Therefore foreign bodies are much more likely to fall into the right main bronchus.

A

Lymph runs towards the hilum. From the pleura their run along the bronchi and the pulmonary artery.
