LL Assessment After ABI Flashcards
ABC
= Activity specific balance confidence scale
- 16 items self-reported measure to rate balance confidence while performing ADLs
- 0-100 pts
-> MS, PD, stroke..
TIS
= Trunk impairment scale
- measure motor imp of trunk
1. Static sitting balance
2. Dynamic sitting balance
3. «Coordination» -> dysmetria, dysdiadochokinesia
-> ( stroke, PD, MS, SCI..)
BBS
= Berg balance scale
- 14 items assessment to determine in which condition the patient would be able to walk w/o falling
- static standing balance & fall prediction
-> TBI, stroke, PD, SCI..
PASS
= Postural assessment scale for stroke
- 12 items assessment, 4 pts scale (0 to 3pts/task)
- postural control (standing) after stroke
OGA
= Observational gait analysis
- depending of which parameter of the gait we are observing (standing posture, speed, trunk mobility & stability…)
DGI
= Dynamic gait index
- Evaluate ability to adapt his/her body posture while walking (3.no gait dysfunction to 0.severe impairment)
-> balance, gait disturbances
-> MS, stroke, PD..
TUG
= Time up & go test
- screening tool to assess basic mobility
- stand up from chair, walk 3 meters, turn around & come back sited
- TIME parameter
-> stroke, PD..
