A
Detoxification decreases ( liver detoxidfies toxins) :
- Causes hepatic encephalopathy (where toxins like ammonia go to brain)
Estrogen increases ( liver break down estrogen to metabolites):
- Gynocomastia in men
- spider naevi
- Palmer erythema
Increased bilrubin in blood (liver conjugulates bilirubin):
- Jaundice ( stool + urine changes)
- Pruritus
Albumin production decreases:
- Oedema
- Ascites
- Hypoalbunimia
Clotting factor production decreases:
- Easy bruising
- Easy bleeding
