Cirrhosis
- peritonitis = more leaky
- Raised capillary hydrostatic pressure
- Reduced colloid oncotic pressure
- Perironeal lymphatic draining

Symptoms of ascites?
A
Shifting dullness
Gained weight
Abdominal pain
Respiratory distress ( Plural effusion)

A
Diagnostic aspiration:
- Albunium
- Neutrophil count

Treatment of ascites?
A
1ST line - salt restriction
Diuretics - Furosemide/Spironolactone
