GEN 1 Line PB
-Off; Disconnects GEN1 from electrical system. AC Bus1 powered by GEN2 through bus tie line contactors
-Smoke Light, Smoke detected in Avionics Compartment
-Blower/Extract Fans PB will also show Fault
-PB, Isolates GEN for the #1 fuel pumps in the left/right wing tanks
RAT & EMER GEN/(Fault Light)
-EMER GEN is not supplying PWR but it should be, AC Bus 1/2 not PWRD
-Lift guard and push the button for electrical power only
-RAT Auto Deploy: >100kts w/loss of AC Bus 1/2, 8 seconds to deploy; will revert to BATT PWR.
-RAT powers: AC/DC ESS; AC/DC ESS SHED
-Provides 2500psi for Blue HYD
-On BATT; PFD1, and EWD on
On RAT; PFD1, ND1, EWD, MCDU1
125-140kts: RAT STALLS; Loss of ND/MCDU 1
<50kts after landing; Loss of AC ESS and all screens go blank. Available Emergency PWR. Outflow valve, APU fire protection, VHF 1.
TERR GPWS/SYS PB (Fault Lights)
-TERR PB Fault light; Terrain Data base is lost, You will still have basics modes of the GPWS system (To Low Flaps, To Low Gear, and Terrain Recognition).
- SYS Fault; Lost all modes including GPWS
MODE1: “Sink Rate”
MODE2: “Terrain,Terrain”
MODE3: “DON’T SINK”
MODE4: “Too Low FLAPS/GEAR”
MODE5: “Glide Slope,” deviation
G/S MODE & FLAP MODE
-Used for Abnormal conditions to shut down the selected mode
LDG Flaps 3
-Turn on when performing a FLAP 3 Landing
-Landing memo displays Flaps 3
CVR
GND CTL PB
-Powered for 5 min on external power, Captain must turn on CVR on the ground to capture briefings/checklist test. If the CVR doesn’t test, the parking brake is off
- Comes on automatically after engine start.
-In flight
Oxygen
-Passenger PB; SYSTEM ON signal sent to the back to drop masks (Automatically at 14,000’ Cabin ALT) or Press MASK MAN ON guarded switch for manual deployment
-Crew Supply; Allows O2 bottle to connect to manifold for Cockpit Masks, Diluted lasts crew 13min (CEO)/15min (NEO), Last 2 crew @ Cruise FL100 107min (CEO)/105min (NEO)
-Crew OXY 100% lasts all crew 15min @ 8K’ cabin Alt
CALLS
-Contact Mech, FWD/AFT FA stations (Single Chime)
-EMER; Lift Guard Pressed (Triple High/Low Chime)
Wipers
230KTS Limit
APU Master SW; ON/FAULT
-ON; ECB (Electronic Control Box) PWR-up TEST is initiated, APU Air Inlet Opens, Pressurizing Fuel pump, Fuel Isolation Valve Opens, If External PWR or Main GEN is on; APU SYS Page is displayed.
-OFF; Light extinguishes and shuts down after 2 min cooldown.
-Fault Light; Fire (on the ground only) or Shutdown was Abnormal:
- DC PWR lost, BATTs PB off on BATT PWR only
- Air inlet flap closed
- Inlet overheat
- No Acceleration
- No Speed
- Under-speed
- Slow Start
- Overspeed
- Loss of Overspeed protection
- Overcurrent
- No Flame
- Reverse flow
- Low oil Pressure
- High Oil Temperature
- Clogged oil Filter
- EGT Over-temp
- Sensor failure
- IGV failure
- ECB failure
- Loss of EGT thermocouples
*Note: Auto Shutdown of APU MAY occur if TEST pb is held more than 3 sec
ANTI ICE
-WING; Outboard 3 slats are heated; Default to closed when PWR is lost,
Fault light: Low Air Pressure/Valve Switch Disagreement/Valve intransit
-ENG; Nacelle Lip only, Defaulted to open when PWR is lost
Fault Light: Valve Switch Disagreement/Valve intransit
Probe/Window Heat
-Aircraft has PWR, Drain Mast are heated
-PB ON, All Probes/Windows heated except TAT
-PB AUTO, Probes/Windows are heated at ENG Start
-TAT, PWRD when airborne only
Cabin Pressurization/ MODE SEL Fault Light
-Switches after each landing, System failure, lost both Auto Controllers
-Selecting MAN for 10 sec, then return to AUTO will select other system
LDG ELEV AUTO Rotary Switch
-Gets Landing Elevation from FMGC
-Must take it out of Auto if destination in not in Data Base/Data Base in incorrect or ECAM or Abnormal procedure tells you to do so
-Still get auto pressurization regardless of position, Only changes the schedule to when the Outflow valve opens
Guarded “DITCHING” Switch
- SYS in Auto will close Outflow valve, Emergency Ram air inlet, Avionics Inlet/Extract valves, Pack-flow CNTRL valves.
- MODE SEL must go to Manual CNTRL, Outflow Valve now CNTRL by “MAN V/S CTL switch (Up to open, Down to Close).
ENG Fire PB 1/2
- Silence CRC/Arms Squibs
- Deactivates IDG
- Closes LP Fuel valve/De-energizes FADEC
- Closes Hydraulic Shutoff Valve

APU Fire PB
- Silences CRC/Arms Squib
- APU Shuts Down
- Closes Low Pressure Fuel Valve/Shuts Down APU Fuel Pump
- Closes APU Bleed/Cross Bleed Valves
