What is the Magisterium?
Council of the Catholic Church made up of the Pope and the bishops.
Given the gift of the Holy Spirit which guides them to make the right decisions.
What is death?
The end of physical life.
When the body stops working completely.
Define eternal life.
Life in Heaven after death.
How Jesus describes how we should live.
What is Heaven?
People who have accepted God’s forgiveness in this life will live forever with God when they die.
This meeting with God is what we call ‘Heaven’.
What does resurrection refer to?
Raising of the body again after death.
Christians believe that Jesus resurrected and that all people will experience it at the end of time.
What is judgment?
At the end of our life, we will be faced with a choice to choose God or reject God.
The decision we take leads to judgment and decides whether we ‘go’ to Heaven or Hell.
What is the soul?
Part of a person which lives on after death of the body.
A name for a human being’s mind.
Define Hell.
People who have chosen to reject God’s message have chosen to live away from God forever.
This lack of God for all of time is what we call ‘Hell’.
