How to harvest

A

Cut and come again by cutting plant down to approx 25mm high, leaving the centre leaves intact.
Or
Harvest when the plant has developed to desired size, but before it can bolt, by cutting away the entire head in one go.

How to store

A

Wash lettuce so there is no visible dirt. Dry thoroughly. Place leaves in airtight bags and push the air out. Store in the fridge for 1 week.

A

Slugs. slug pellets, or physically remove them. Encourage wildlife to the garden like hedgehogs.
